Wilberforce Trust – Club Wilber takes partially sighted children on a sea trip near Whitby
BlueSpark provided funding for the Wilberforce Trust – Club Wilber to take partially sighted children on a sea trip near Whitby, Yorkshire using a specially modified, fully accessible powerboat. This gave the children the opportunity to enjoy a new and exhilarating experience in a fun, safe and stimulating way which gave them a sense of fulfilment. They had the chance to have a go at steering, to learn about the sea and wildlife, to be out in the fresh air and to connect with nature in a way that is not often accessible to them.
