St Gregory’s attend inspirational drama residential
St Gregory’s Catholic High School applied to BlueSpark Foundation for a grant to enable all of its GCSE drama group to attend a weekend drama residential at The Conway Centre, Menai, Anglesey. 25 young people in Year 10 were able to build on their creative collaboration and social skills. The workshops were led by leading theatre practitioners whose aim is to inspire GCSE drama pupils to be more confident in their approach and increase their skills.
Helen Chappel, Head of Drama at St Gregory’s, reported “our pupils had the most amazing, challenging and creative weekend away at the Menai Centre this weekend and a good proportion of the pupils were there due to the funding that was granted. They arrived back to school yesterday afternoon buzzing and wanting to go back for more learning!”
