Blue Spark Foundation

BlueSpark provided funding for Stroud Green Primary School in North London to take part in “Debate Mate” which aims to improve social mobility by providing debate training through after school debate programmes. Participation helps to accelerate attainment in speaking and listening skills and strengthens emotional capacity through building confidence, self-esteem, empathy and resilience. The children also learn greater acceptance of and respect for others. The Assistant Headteacher said “the generous grant from BlueSpark has enabled our children to learn lifelong skills in a fun and engaging environment. I have had amazing feedback from children and parents and teachers are seeing the skills learned from debating coming out in the classroom.”
