Outdoor Activities Increased at Leek Air Training Cadets

BlueSpark funded the purchase of a trailer for Leek Air Training Cadets in Staffordshire. Flight Lieutenant Robert Whatmough told us that “the trailer has enabled us to release seating in our minibus for the transportation of cadets rather than equipment. This has meant that, so far this year, an extra 54 places have been made available for young people to take part in activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, adventure training and camps. These activities have an enormous impact on our young people, allowing them to expand their horizons, experience and confidence. A secondary effect has been to increase squadron cohesion and teamwork which has led to more cadets wanting to get involved in the activities we provide.”
